Ali Byron
OTR/L, Stroke Rehab Specialist
I am a bay area native, married mother of 2, and feel that I was always meant to become an Occupational Therapist. I have always been creative; making scrapbooks and exploring photography, sewing, and home decor. I have always treasured personal connection; prioritizing individual time with family and friends. I have always had a thirst for knowledge; diving in to research and individual's experience on topics of current interest. Being an Occupational Therapist allows me to enjoy and share each of these facets about myself with my patients and I look forward to doing this work every day.
I have worked with adults with neurological dysfunction for 11 years now and am extremely passionate about helping these individuals regain the skills they need to perform the daily activities of their life. I have worked in various settings including the hospital, nursing home, home health, and outpatient clinic. I have seen the limitations and difficulties that can come from the limited visits available through insurance and clinic appointments and I have had a goal of offering more regular, frequent assistance to improve outcomes for those with both acute and chronic progressive diagnoses.
I am honored to be able to join the team at Holistic Life Skills and address this gap in care by providing individualized and private care in your home. I am certified in Physical Agent Modalities, in instructing Parkinsons Wellness Recovery Moves, and as a Stroke Rehab Specialist. I work regularly with those experiencing a decrease in their quality of life as a result of symptoms from stroke , spinal cord injury, ALS, MS, Parkinsons, brain injury, or concussion. If you live in the east bay, please reach out. I look forward to starting a partnership with you!
