Improve your Quality of Life after an Acquired Brain Injury

Join the Holistic Life Skills Community for Practical Resources, Step-by-Step Exercises, and Continuous Expert Support for Warriors in Recovery

Our community…

  • is comprehensive.

Our unique community is designed to support both those in recovery from traumatic brain injury AND the caregivers or occupational therapists who care for them. Resources range from how to navigate the transition from hospital to outpatient care to setting appropriate goals for progress in recovery to fostering participation in new hobbies post injury.

  • stays current.

Led by a lifelong learner, our community invites experts and other practitioners to join and discuss the ever-evolving science and evidence-based research in the recovery space. We stay connected to developments in the field and advocacy efforts waged on your behalf, so you can focus on personal progress.

  • offers connection.

We encourage members to actively participate in the community, sharing their recovery process out loud for others to learn from and celebrate. Members may meet folks in similar circumstances, peers who share their commitment to warriors in recovery, and occupational therapists and other experts to support their personal journey.

  • is consistent.

Unlike temporary rehabilitation care, our community recognizes that recovery is an ongoing journey and offers reliable and continuous support by regularly updating our resource library, constantly introducing new discussions and exercises, and keeping an open line of communication between you and our team of licensed therapists.

  • is cost-effective.

So often, ongoing care is paid for out of pocket—a costly endeavor for anyone facing months to years of ongoing therapeutic needs. Our community is an affordable way to continue to prioritize therapy, ask questions, and meet milestones even when you don’t have access to in-person support.

  • can be customized.

It doesn’t matter where you are in your recovery journey, you can create your own individualized journey through our resources and exercises. Our OT practitioners are available to answer any questions you have at any time — just message us or attend a virtual meeting. We’ve designed this community to meet you where you are and cheer you on in your recovery.

Your late night Google searches will not provide adequate or appropriate support for you and your individual recovery path.

While the internet offers countless rehabilitation exercises and advice, every recovery journey is unique.

What works for one person may not be appropriate or safe for another. Plus, generic online resources can't adapt to your changing needs or provide the structured guidance that makes rehabilitation effective.

We understand the frustration.

You or your loved one might have gone from receiving intensive daily therapy in the hospital to suddenly managing recovery alone, with very few outpatient appointments and expensive options for ongoing care after that. The gap between hospital discharge and consistent outpatient care can feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to prevent losing the progress you've worked so hard to achieve.

That's why we've created this membership community. Here, you'll find:

  • Expert-guided exercises and techniques you can safely practice between therapy sessions

  • A library of recorded expert sessions sharing evidence-based care

  • A supportive community of others on similar recovery journeys

  • Regular access to a team of occupational therapists to acknowledge your specific challenges and goals

Whether you're just beginning outpatient therapy or looking to supplement your current rehabilitation program, our membership provides the continuous, professional guidance you need to maintain and build upon your progress.

The science of neuroplasticity shows us that improvement is possible even years after an injury — but the key is having the right guidance and consistent practice.

Don't let gaps in care interrupt your recovery journey.

Join our community to bridge those gaps with expert-led, personalized support that fits your schedule and budget.

A Personal Invitation from

Jacki Bouillin

(OTR/L, CBIS, and Founder of Holistic Life Skills)

I come from a family of helpers, so I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a profession in therapeutic services. I first learned the meaning of Occupational Therapy when, in my studies, I fell in love with the human brain.

Since studying and practicing OT, I’ve observed the way the medical industry abruptly moves patients with acquired brain injury from acute hospital care to intensive rehabilitation centers to home before they feel ready, and I see how often a person’s progress wanes once they’re left alone.

But remember, the brain is AMAZING! So after 8 years as an OT, I understand that continued, personalized attention and commitment to therapeutic care can help folks maintain their progress and get back to enjoying their lives to the fullest. It’s just a question of how to fit this continued care into your life.

Enter, the Holistic Life Skills Community — designed to fill the gaps in the healthcare system by providing affordable OT resources, peer support, and expert advice on an ongoing basis. I hope you’ll join the community for a 7-day free trial to see how we can support your recovery journey.

See you inside!
