Hi! I’m so glad you’ve found us here at Holistic Life Skills.  We are here to help you achieve your goals in your home and community environment, without boundaries, in a holistic way.  It is our desire to help you regain the ability to participate in your preferred activities and roles.  We strive to use your chosen passions as motivators towards recovery.

A little about me, I’m Annemarie Rossi. A typical day for me begins with a cup of coffee followed by a video led weight lifting workout.  I love all things outdoors: hiking, biking, stand-up paddle boarding, gardening, etc.  Being outdoors nourishes my soul.  I am an avid scuba diver and enjoy traveling to explore the world’s oceans as often as I can.  It is important to me to fuel my body with nutritious and wholesome foods, which I enjoy preparing.  Getting an appropriate amount of sleep each night is also a priority.  A combination of solid nutrition and quality sleep ensure that I have the power and energy needed to be able to participate in all the physical activities I enjoy.  I value a balance of work, rest and play as a tool to manage stress.

MSOT/L, CBIS, NDTO, Low Vision Specialist

Professionally, I have been an Occupational Therapist for nearly 3 decades.

I began my OT career working in an acute care hospital environment. Throughout the years, I have worked with patients in various settings across the continuum of care: acute, sub-acute, skilled nursing (SNF), inpatient acute rehabilitation (ARU) and outpatient.

In 2007 I had the privilege of joining a team of doctors from UCSF, San Francisco VA, CPMC, Davies Campus and UC Berkeley to help develop and implement a Goals Self Management (GSM) research project.  That experience sparked my passion for working with those impacted by Brain Injury.  As a clinical researcher on the team, I was responsible for conducting pre, mid-term and post training assessments with subjects.  I also a co-led training sessions, teaching participants the GSM process we developed.

To date, I continue to predominantly provide rehabilitation and care in the outpatient and home environment to those impacted by TBI and other neurologic disorders.  I am recognized as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist through the Brain Injury Association of America.

Working with folks in their homes has allowed me to provide the most individualized interventions, resulting in optimal goal achievement and client satisfaction.

If you reside in San Francisco or Southern Marin I look forward to hearing from you.  I’d love to hear what your interests are and learn about what activities you’d like to prioritize in your rehabilitation program. It would be my honor to help you move beyond your injury.  Let’s do this!
