Activity Analysis

Activity Analysis identifies the functional requirements of an activity. It allows Occupational Therapists to explore all angles an activity so we can understand the effect it will have on you.

Activity analysis includes breaking down the specific functions that are required to complete the task. The following are some of the components that are being analyzed:

  1. Physical ability

  2. Cognitive ability

  3. Perceptual ability

  4. Visual and Hearing ability

  5. Psychological state

  6. Environment the activity is performed in

  7. Cost

  8. Time

  9. Safety risks

  10. Any barriers to participation
