Fall Prevention

Falls are the leading cause of brain injury, especially in older adults.

61% of all traumatic brain injuries are due to falls. Most people think it is normal to have a fall every now and then, but it’s not. If you’re experiencing falls at home or in the community, occupational therapy can help!

There are many reasons why falls occur, so assessment of why you are falling is key to guiding treatment plans. We can identify risk factors for falls and provide recommendations for how to prevent them so you can remain living in your own home.
